UPDATE: A Sega UK spokesperson has told CVG "this pack will not be available in the UK". There you are then.

ORIGINAL STORY: Just when we thought Sega had given up on mature Wii games, it's announced the "Welcome to Violence" pack for Wii in Australia.

The triple game pack, which hits the land Down Under on March 11 for $109.95 AUD (£63), includes the publisher's three controversial Nintendo releases, MadWorld, House of the Dead: Overkill and High Voltage Software's The Conduit.

We take this as less of an indication that Sega's interested in mature Wii games again, and more that it's trying to squeeze every last sale it can out of the 18-rated trio. Because let's not forget: they didn't exactly set the sales charts alight.

There's no word on Europe for this yet, but we've left a message with Sega.

I absolutely loved Madworld, didn't much care for the Conduit (multiplayer is fun, if laggy) and haven't picked up HotD:O, but friends who have played it seem to have enjoyed it.

Shame they didn't do well in sales, but those games benefited from being on the Wii; Madworld has no multiplayer and is very short. The Conduit, compared to 360 and PS3 shooters, is pretty awful. HotD:O is a light gun game, so unless I missed something that's a non starter for the other big two.
