hmm... yeah, i ought to be a little more engaged with this thing but since time is precious to me right now (job)... *sigh*
sorry, about that source thing. what's with the par by the way?
well i participated with that media-player thingie... err...
anyhow, i'm slowly making progress but there's nothing special to emntion about my work. also the guy who should work with me doesn't even seem to have read my first source...
(nothing personal antipasta ). right now i'm stuck...
i remember having downloaded those file from your site but i don't that i already had them... anyway, you these two will certainly help me with my contest project.
hmm... i've heard about this CDC stuff but did someone ever pick up a doc on this? since my header files don't show much because of the japanese comments i can't figure out how to get CDDA-Tracks (NO CDDA-FILES!!) playing. there are functions i know that but how to use them?
have you ever hear that you have to apply for being allowed to be a costumer of those friggin isps? if they think you aren't worthy...
BTW, ALL THIS IS OFF TOPIC!!!! :bs
that's the reason which made me thinking about it. SGL is great, as long as one has the docs for the specific functions and maybe even some tutorials.
as i recognized that my collection lacks the official document about the SGL CD- and 2D-Library and well commented code samples on BUP i decided...
i busted the game back in '94 i think. great gameplay but sometimes it really was somehow frustrating that most dungeons only differed by the color of the walls.
anyhow, it took quite a while to play it through even if you already busted it.
he said today that he rewrote the emu from scratch and implemented a much better 68k emulation routine. also there will be a plugin-interface which certanly will speed up things a lot what goes for development.
i just got the specs from him...
here's the text:
oh that nice but have you thought about the fact that the saturn got power but still hasn't much available ram? what i mean is that an interpreter would use up more memory than the whole game. also there would be many obsolete functions which are not needed by the running game but use up some...
hi folks,
i think there are some people who might be interested in this. today i've heard from Fabien (the author) that a release is planned. though he doesn't seem to know a specific date yet he says that maybe within the next two months there will be the next one.
let's hope for the best and...
hmm... yeah, but i guess i'm not that far with saturn development to start an emu-project on saturn.
remark: i never even made an emu by now.
let's just see how we get along with the current project. it's not necessary to win the contest but to produce something which is usable and can be...
well, one could do that easily. just leave the sound-driver provided by SEGA alone and program your own "sound driver". it's just a matter of fact that SEGA never said something about that the 68K+DSP only can play sound even w/o the driver. what is possible, is to control the 68K via flags from...
