    50/60Hz modding

Alrite fella, you need to look on the TOP of the Saturn motherboard, your looking for the VDP chip (graphics chip to you and me) Its marked above it, printed in white letters on the mainboard "IC14" so you dont need to look for a specific part number, just look for IC14, plain and simple and it...

Modding Japanese Saturns - Which Model Number?

Have you got the side of the mod chip with the tops of the chips, facing the outside of the Saturn? Do you have the ribbon cable the right way around? Try putting the mod chip facing the outside of the Saturn, and try the ribbon cable different ways, the way that it goes into the CD mainboard...

    BLACK SCREEN saturn !!

Yeah.. no video I checked all around the VDP now as the problem must be with it.. I FOUND.. a small blob of solder that must of dropped off the iron, joining together two pins of the VDP! I removed this.. tried again and nothing.. exactly the same.. Im using single strand Kynar wire, as its...

    BLACK SCREEN saturn !!

The text that changes size is just the overlay text from when the TV automatically changes to A/V mode (I live in Europe and im using a SCART cable) I soldered all of the connections and hot glued the wires, just to keep the wires in place. It seems the console is working and the 50/60hz mod...

How to mod a 21 pin Saturn

OK, it seems Radiant Silvergun was copied correctly, but the person who put this ISO on a torrent had decided to patch it to US region.. So of course, it wasnt working because I had my Saturn switched to JP.. so this means that the Sanyo Saturn will probably work with one of my mod chips!

How to mod a 21 pin Saturn

Ok I fitted the mod chip into a 32 pin saturn. Used A-B method. Used 0019 solder bridge. Tried backup and it was a no-go.. then I started to think... is the backup working? Did it burn right? I take my original Snatcher (NTSC-J) and I read the image using BlindWrite. Then I burn the image...

How to mod a 21 pin Saturn

Hey guys.. more info. I bought some mod chips, these chips look different to the ones I had before, they look better quality. The board colour is a dark blue and you can see more detail on the back of the board, like tracks and such, whereas the chips I had before were badly corroded, these...

How to mod a 21 pin Saturn

BTW: I have deduced, that the Sanyo CD board models can be identified easily without removing the case. Look on the back of the case, if it says "Made in China" it will have a Sanyo CD board. I am 90% sure this is correct, and if you dont want this unmoddable system now you can easily check!

How to mod a 21 pin Saturn

Ok today I got out the last chip I had not tested (mod chip) I took out a 32 pin CD drive from another saturn, installed it on it - now I get the red circles !! wow!!
