    Stardust sources?

It's not by choice I'm not in the saturn scene anymore. I'll try and find time this summer. I was really hoping I could at least fix the problems on the serial code. I know a little more how it should work now.

    Stardust sources?

All my old stuff can be accessed by: http://www.blindado-massive.net/Saturn/ Replace clubotaku.org by blindado-massive.net on any links and so on... Glad to know someone still cares about my weird stuff, however. I miss working on the Saturn.

    Games & emus worth porting

Games & emus worth porting Could you add a file selection routine to the original StarDust code? The thing you should look for is fileacc.c and the file is loaded to the location pointed by ROMChunk. Yes, you're adding something to something that doesn't work (i don't even think it compiles...

Limit on maximum number of sprites?

Where are you placing the logo? VRAM or LORAM? The only bottlenecks I remember was uploading stuff to VRAM every frame, or taking too mutch time to draw sprites. The first is in one of the Technical Buletins, the other is in the VDP1 register documentation, I belive. I haven't touched them in...

    Homepage changes

I'd just like to warn that I've moved to a new server. Now the links are: Stardust - http://www.blindado-massive.net/Saturn/ SGL tutorials - http://www.blindado-massive.net/Saturn/Tutorials/ In related news, anyone has seen the footage of the SNES emu under a GBA? It uses exactly the same...

    Image Extraction!

Hoe Termite, got your mail. Sega Saturn Screen format, as it seems to be the name, is a fixed image format, that you can find in the ENDING directory of the MKR CD - on a hexdadecimal file viewer they'll start with something of the likes of SEGA SATURN SCREEN. I've yet to find other games using...

    GPL'ed Yeti3D

GPL'ed Yeti3D Well, Yeti3D is a comercial 3D engine software, used mainly for GBA. Thing is, the author released the a free GPL'ed source version of the engine. http://www.theteahouse.com.au/gba/index.html Considering the little memory and speed requirements of the engine, and the fact it's...

    Problems Installing GCC-SGL on XP

I was in fact, able to use the old compiler for a while under XP. Eventually I either upgraded, downloaded a new version or went to NTFS, and the compiler stopped working in the same descript way shinhoshi said, forcing me to fetch the kpit one.

    Problems Installing GCC-SGL on XP

The old gcc compiler works only with Windows 9x/Me. If you're using XP/2000 you'll need to use the GNUSH install you can get from here (free registation needed, and it's manually verified, so it's not instant): http://www.kpit.com/products/support.htm After having the package (at this moment...

    Sprite low-level access to VDP...

Hn... here's my problem. I need a proprietary sprite engine, so I'm not using the "texture" approach the library come with. I create the correct sprite data, generate a command table that VDP1 likes, but how do i register it with the processor itself - like setting up where the command sprite...

    Sorry

Well, i can't promise you that, but i was going to add an internet ranking system. Will that suffice? Oh, fine - Have a promotional picture: (Yes, I'm aware that the background comes default with Windows XP - Lay off, eh?) The game name is Saku Type-R and is a pretty obvious hommage to...

    Sorry

Well, doe to a couple of reasons, including time, lack of porper dev enviorment, and the embarassing fact I'm still unable to setup sprites using the SGL, I'm going to leave the dev contest... game will still be released, once I get my more powerfull computer back and i have some spare time.

    SGL OS 3.02

The "Akira models for a Saturn VF3 tech demo" he speaks are just plain VF models that come with the oldest SGL sources we have. However, the remaining models (aren't those chars from Sonic R?) and particulary the 3d viewer, I have never seen before.

    Sprite Woes.

uh... wha? That came out of nowhere. [/b] Bah. There are some people that claim Paint Shop Pro is the best image editor ever made, and not Adobe Photoshop. They're simmilar in intent and will to Linux fanboys. Anyway, if anyone's interested in the steps I played out to get a "RAW" image file...

Actually, Wally is the winner. Nothing like good old 256-color Quake texture editing.

    Sprite Woes.

Well, I'm doing some sprites right now and found a er, problem: I have some 256 color sprites, but bloddy photoshop doesn't want to make my bg color the first one in the pallete entry - and hence the sprites appear with no colorkey transparency. What I'm looking for, is a 256 color, dedicated...

    Bah, i've been generating it with mkisofs -G IP.BIN <directory> > filename.iso That, now considering your command line, it's hardly correct ^^;
