Ripping Worldwide Soccer 97

Open the Cue sheet with Notepad. The person who ripped it probably has the information where the Bin/Cue was stored on his computer and it doesn't match up with yours. There's probably extra information as to where the is located. Delete everything except for the filename.bin and then load it back up in CDRWin and all should be good.

That error message is telling you where you should look, line 1 of your cue sheet. Just open it up with a text editor like Notepad or something. Then make sure that line 1 is not referencing a file from some absolute path. For example, if line one says something like this:

FILE "D:\GAMES\LAME_PATH_TO_SCREW_WITH_YOU\NIGHTS.BIN" BINARY

then change it to this:

FILE "NIGHTS.BIN" BINARY

well that did... something. I get a different error now: Error invalid cue sheet command at line 1. Illegal cue sheet command syntax. Whats that mean? Hold on, i will show you the cue sheet:

That's the cue sheet. What is wrong?

Let's just assume that the file name is NIGHTS.BIN. On the first line of the Cue sheet you need to add this to the end: \NIGHTS.BIN" Binary or better yet, just replace the entire line one with: FILE "NIGHTS.BIN" BINARY

You guys kick UBER ass!!! thanks! Now i just gotta burn this little SOB and then burn it again because god knows i'm not going through this twice... Pray that it doesn't coaster on me.

I knew this was too good to be true! Ok, the cue sheet loads up all nice and dandy, but when i press start recording i get this:

Error:'START DAO RECORDING' command failed on device 1:1:0. Cuesheet was rejected by cdrom recorder.

Don't tell me my cdburner won't burn this thing...

I've had that problem before. Whenever that happened I'd use Nero to burn them and it would be fine. You could also use Fireburner if you wanted.

Oh... the nero demo says i can only burn mp3's... it wont' let me burn nights then.. unless i'm reading it wrong. *sigh* back to fireburner...

Ok, never mind, turns out i can burn data with nero. Would you be kind enough to guide me through exactly what to do and how to burn with nero. Never tried before...

OK sure. When you open up Nero 5.5 (I think you got) the Wizard should also open. You want to get out of that and click File -> Burn CD Image, then load up the Cue and Write. Should work fine.

... WAAAAAAAAA!!!!!! It doesn't work!!! I put it in, i get an error, the cd pops out then when i press the discard button and try to put in another cd it pops out too. The only way it will stay in is if i close the whole program and open it up again.

That's really quite odd, I've never heard of Nero doing that. You can always try CDRWin again (restart maybe, or just reinstall it) or try Fireburner. Other than that, I don't know what to tell ya.

Your problem is that you're trying to burn a bin/cue with more than one track in Nero. Don't do that, instead use some tool to extract the tracks to different files (iso/wav), adjust the cuesheet and burn.

EDIT: Here's a link to Ahead's site, which should settle this once and for all. Could this be added to the FAQs?

The whole point of nights comming in a bin/cue is because it's a bitch to make a two mode cue sheet. I really don't want to bin chunk them. Is there any other way. COuld nti do it?

I have tried EVERYTHING that this site has a walkthrough for and nothign works!! damn!!!!! rcefiro, do you think, and when i say step by step i mean step by step, guide me through a burning program other than cdrwin and nero that has ever worked for you. I'm so desperate right now... i need nights. NEED!

Yo Gallstaff!

I had a close look at your cue sheet just now...and something just seems odd to me:

What are PREGAPS doing in a BIN/CUE? My thinking is you only need pregaps/postgaps (after the last data track/before the first audio track) if you're burning an ISO/MP3 image... but a BIN already comes with all the "gaps" that were on the original CD included, all that matters is that the INDEX times in the cue sheet are correct.

So, my suggestion: Open the CUE sheet in Notepad once again... remove the two occurences of POSTGAP and/or PREGAP (they're somewhere around track 2 and 3), then try again... I think both CDRWin and Nero should accept it then. GOOD LUCK!!

ANd if everything else fails... I'll be happy to make you a new disk image from my original NiGHTS CD... a Nero or CloneCD image...
