Panzer Dragoon Saga on Fenrir + Action Replay 4M (Remove cartridge)

Hi guys!
How are you doing?

I KNOW this probably has been addressed in one way or another.
The thing is I can't use the cheat code to bypass the "Please remove the cartridge" screen.

I'm thinking that AR cheat codes are applied over Fenrir's boot screen, but not to the games themselves, can that be the case?

Also, I'm aware that probably turning the AR into a Pseudo Saturn Kai would pretty much solve this issue (and others), but, is it worth it? I mean, I really wouldn't like to tamper the cart and lose 1mb / 4mb capabilities, and I'm not sure if backup of saves to SD (to the SD w/games managed by Fenrir)

Thanks in advance!

Sega Saturn Patcher can remove the cheat cartridge protection from Panzer Dragoon Saga: https://segaxtreme.net/resources/sega-saturn-patcher.73/

Load the disc image, tick the 'Cheat Detection' button on the left and the 'Separate Tracks Files' button on the bottom-right, click 'Build Image', and save the new disc image as CUE/BIN.

Correct, Saga's anti-cheat protection isn't triggered with Pseudo Saturn Kai.

The only thing you lose when flashing Pseudo Saturn Kai to Action Replay is the ability to store saves on the cart. PSK doesn't remove the 1MB/4MB RAM capability, and Fenrir Loader Kai has a full-featured save data manager that allows you to backup and restore individual save files from/to all known backup memory devices (official Fenrir loader is restricted to backing up and restoring the whole block of internal memory).

Thank you very much!
This is exactly what I needed. I'm playing this gem after a long, long time... in a rather sacrilegious way, but I'm loving it (Spanish patch + Widescreen patch + AR patch)
Thanks again.
I'm still not too sure about the Kai thing... but given the AR screen is practically useless to me, except for rare save transfers (cheats don't work on Fenrir, I assume)... maybe I'll do it one of these days.

Glad you got it working :)

Pseudo Saturn Kai allows for usage of cheat codes with Fenrir, even without the use of a boot cartridge like Action Replay. More information is available here: https://www.reddit.com/r/SegaSaturn/comments/jvub9f/fenrir_loader_kai_released_disc_image_selection/
