Unfortunately I'm still getting the game hanging when picking up the cube of Zoe. Same issue when trying to go through a blue door when you don't have the right item to progress. Here's a link to my save that's right next to the item, hope it works- I've never ripped save games off my Saturn...

I've not done that before but the Fenrir just got the ability to back up saves to the SD card so I'll give it my best shot, however it takes about 10 minutes to get to that point in the game if you wanted to have a go. It's right after Death steals your stuff.
