I highly reccomend getting the 4 in1 as it is much easyer then doing the solder job in such, plus it's also got 4mb and 1 mb capibility so its ready to go for playing those games.

Model 1 mod chips are near impossible to find, but it is alot easyer to do the swap trick with model 1 saturns.

As far as a standard one yes, since its the same thing (game shark is just the name that interact used to distribute it in the us). As for the action replay 4mb plus, that is different from a gameshark.

I have a better guide that is a pdf, it shows pics and fully explains how the mod is done, best one yet model 1 region mod it works great and counts for all model 1 genesis wether it is us or another country which would b e mega drive. It works great and used it to do my mod.

Alien soldier is pretty rare, especialy the japanese version.As for gunstar it's the japanese version thats very rare. Most games that came out in the U.S. are most likely worth more if there the japanese version (as the system didn't do well over there).

Is it possible to make a boot disc where you would load it up, then swap for the import disc allowing it to be played on a sega cd such as a japanese game being played on a us system? Aka along the lines of how freeloader works.
