Saturn VA0 PAL control port issues

Woohoo! Good job. If I ever find the board again, I'll be sure to check this out. I put it away as I messed up quite a few pads in the general area of the emi filters.

Saturn VA0 PAL control port issues

I ended up killing that area of the board entirely with a bunch of attempts at swapping out components the other year, lol. If you end up having any success though, let us know. Welcome back!

Unknown Sega Saturn VA# / Want to Replace PSU

All the 5 pin NTSC power supplies should follow the same voltages as listed in the link you referenced: Power supply: 5-pin Type B (GND, GND, 3.3V, 5V, 9V) The ground pins are closest to the front of the system. The 9V rail is closest to the rear of the system.

Strange Sega Saturn CD Drive behavior

No problem. Please keep us in the loop with any progress you make. What you find may be helpful to others down the road :) Also, can you describe some of the symptoms your system is having? I know you mentioned similar issues, but I'm curious how exactly it is behaving. Thanks!

Strange Sega Saturn CD Drive behavior

I solved a part of the problem, but not fully resolved. There were some pins in the cartridge slot that had gotten smushed together creating some kind of short. Once I was able to dislodge them from each other, the freezing/slowdown on the main menu went away. I do believe there is another issue...

MAKE A SEGASATURN BUILT-IN MEMORY CART

This mod coupled with the Fram chip makes the system much more accessible to people new to the Saturn scene. Especially if they want to stay stock and use the optical drive. A no brainer in my opinion. Much thanks again to @tzmwx! I still have a few left over after my projects in case anyone...

    Saturn - Vampire Savior Issues

Some of us old heads might. I have 2 that are definitely before 99 with the comms port. Not sure if it has the Vampire Savior issue as I always used the official 4mb ram. But yeah, @KuroNeko666 good catch digging up this solution from way back when :)

MAKE A SEGASATURN BUILT-IN MEMORY CART

I noticed the chips beneath when I was installing, but didn't really think about it. Could this be problematic in the future?

MAKE A SEGASATURN BUILT-IN MEMORY CART

I can open it up and doublecheck tomorrow for you. Does it matter?

    Saturn - Vampire Savior Issues

Do you have any other 4mb ram games that you have tried? If you see similar issues with X-men, Marvel vs Street Fighter, or Street FIghter Zero 3, you can at least rule out that the game is fine. After that, if you have a friend that has a Saturn, you can try your Action Replay and Vampire...

    did i kill my ODE

Any chance you still have your optical drive? I don't have a ODE, but if you still have your disc drive, at least you could rule out one possibility.

    Built in Action Replay

Thank you for the clarification! Just so I'm following correctly, as I'm not familiar with all of Pseudo Saturn's features. An Action Replay Plus flashed with Pseudo can enable all of the following? * Region free play * Enables play of back ups * Direct game save access * 4mb ram expansion...

    Built in Action Replay

I may be mistaken, but I don't recall the memory for saves in the Action Replay allowing for direct saves like the oem Sega back up memory. Is there some sort of software built in to Pseudo that allows direct saves from the Action Replay cart now? All I remember is needing to transfer saves back...

    Built in Action Replay

Very neat. Do you suppose in the future, this can be incorporated with tzmwx's direct save internal memory modification? I'm hoping for an all in one internal solution.

MAKE A SEGASATURN BUILT-IN MEMORY CART

Helder, if you don't plan on mass producing these boards, the oem Japanese back up ram carts have the suitable chips inside for harvesting. No reprogramming needed. I didn't end up using a 47uf cap. @tzmwx Would you recommend adding the capacitor, or okay operation to leave it off?
