Maniac Mansion is a platformer :blink: . They must have done something pretty weird with the NES port if that's the case ;) . I used to have this on my Atari when I was younger, I liked it but it used to do my head in with how easy it was to die. I'm not sure if I ever saw the ending..

Weird thing about Beyond Good & Evil is that it has massive borders on the top and bottom (like we normally get with 50hz), as some sort of enforced widescreen mode. Maybe someone thought it'd make it look more cinematic or something. Quite irritating.

I've had the Freeloader since it came out and the only things I've used it for have been Wave Race (no 60hz in the PAL version) and Winning Eleven 6: FE. Nintendo have been pretty good about their PAL games for a change.

Yeah, I've heard that there's no way of doing this on a PAL Cube also.. Apparently the PAL systems have cheaper parts than the NTSC ones and obviously the ability to mod them was lost somewhere along the way (perhaps intentionally).

My TV's got S-video and it really doesn't improve the video output much on a PAL N64, in fact I tend to use the composite instead. I hardly use my N64 because it looks so horrible.. I'll be celebrating the day when an emu comes out that's somewhere near the standard of Gens or Snes9x.

If anyone's got a link suggesting that it's a totally new game, I'd sure like to see it. Everything I've seen (including Silicon Knights interviews) say its a remake of MGS, with updated graphics and enhanced gameplay (ie you can put bodies in lockers a la MGS2).

Then perhaps you could explain the point of bitching about the quality of the file to him.

If someone's suicidal, they're not likely to be thinking about their life and situation rationally, as we can quite easily do now. I very much doubt they 'brought themselves to the mentality' purposely, because they 'had nothing better to do'.

I'd have to disagree with you Ice, I've been looking for a decent GBA game to play for a while and can't find anything. I haven't even got a massive amount of games for it already, but I'm struggling at the moment until Sword of Mana and FFTA come out.. There's only Advance Wars that I'd like...
