It's a magic you can only learn with level 99 on both water and wind elementals.
Probably he wants these requirements to be halved.
Edit: Wow I just learnt the requirements were supposed to be 35 water and 33 wind but due to a programing error you need 99 on both.
Hi @TrekkiesUnite118 I have a question regards censorship. Would you replace the coffee word with sake? It's really dumb and offputting they talking about coffee every time someone is drunk/acting weird while they are clearly talking about sake. :-/
Sue's uncle hiding coffe from his wife is so bad.
Make your own rip. You need a clean rip for Grandia and to be sure make yours from your disc, don't download it from anywhere. Burn in a good quality CDR in the lowest possible speed. Grandia constantly streams data/audio/video from disc and a bad quality/burned disc will not run properly.
@paul_met I apreciate the patch update. Works fine now. I have another thing to report (forgot to talk about it earlier).
Sometimes when you start a battle, there's some glitched lines on the sides of the battle screen when it's zoomed out. I know the battle backgroud is 4:3 ratio and it is...
The Grandia patch acts strange. When you pick an item in the field or dungeon, the game will revert back to 4:3 after the item management screen. But if you enter the menus and go back, the 16:9 ratio will be restored.
I'm using your hack with the translated patch on disc 1, running...
Yes, it works perfectly.
Oddly enough, I loaded a save in parm with the widescreen+translated disc and it worked fine. I've played till the ruins and didn't see any problems. Maybe it's stuck only after the intro.
I don't know how the ws hack works either but I know it modifies some files you...
Hi @TrekkiesUnite118 I was trying to use Paul Met's widescreen hack in conjunction with your translation with no luck (it freezes after the ship intro with Bahl and Mullen). Would you incorporate it with your patch as an option? Shining Force Central did this with their SF3 patches and would be...
Unfortunately, to get acces to the savegames, you have to find the 4 cartridges scattered through the dungeons. Rather time consuming. If I remember right, the first cartridge has all the savegames for the 1st disc and is located somewhere in the first dungeon, but you will spend like 3 hours to...
About savefiles. There is the Grandia Digital Museum disc. An expansion disc with neat contents and various savefiles are part of it. You can "download" saves from key moments to load in the regular game. Handy to your testing I guess.
Hi Trekkies, I registered just to thank you. You are the hero of my youth. I played this at 17 to death and aways wanted a translation of the original Saturn version. I intend to play on real hardware but I will try to report bugs anyway.
