2D Collision Detection with Multiple Objects

Hi all, I'm chugging along on my contest entry and I'm still stuck on how to do 2d collision detection with multiple objects. My game objects include players (1-12), enemies (0-10?), obstacles (0-5?), and ground (1-10?). All objects are using rectangular bounding boxes.I have AABB collision...

    Writing to the Action Replay?

Thank you for the advice. This seems like it's going to get pretty complicated, especially if I need to support specific chips. I think I'm going to punt and leave Action Replay support as read-only.

    Writing to the Action Replay?

I made some progress attempting to RLE01 compress\decompress the Action Replay's save data. I'm not familiar with how to flash the save data back to the cart however. My naive approach (I was hoping it would at least work in Yabause and fail on real hardware) was to do something like this...

    Save Game Copier Features

I don't want to change the .BUP file format I'm using. It's shared by other save game tools such as Cafe-Alpha's Save Data Manager and Hitomi's ss-save-parser.

Saturn CD Block ROM dumped again.

I can verify SH-1 debugging in Linux with Yabause 0.9.15 works. I can set code breakpoints within the SH-1 ROM and it hits. Memory breakpoints do not appear to work however.

Saturn CD Block ROM dumped again.

@Waterfuell , I've started looking at the SH-1 ROM (cdb105.bin) and the YGR ROM (ygr022.bin). Using Yabause 0.9.15 I am able to set breakpoints within the SH-1. Do you know if it's possible to debug the YGR as well? Edit: Actually it looksl ike ygr022.bin is just a variant of the cdb105.bin.

[Saturn] Tamagotchi Park - save game restore/dump?

Yes your statement is correct from my understanding. The claim is that: 1) With the pink backup cart you can delete the save and the game will recreate the save when it detects the magic bytes in the zero block of the cart. If you format the pink cartridge the magic bytes in the zero block...

Alien Odyssey source code found for Sega Saturn

This does not appear to be Sega Saturn code. I'm seeing malloc() and stdio.h calls. I was curious to see save game parsing and there isn't any. I see the #ifdef __SATURN__ #define. Looks like they were building for Saturn and MS-DOS from the same source.

[Saturn] Tamagotchi Park - save game restore/dump?

Save Game Copier can be used (via the "Dump Memory" option) to dump the entire cartridge memory to SD card if you have MODE/Satiator. That being said, I loaded this game in Yabause using the save game file provided and it worked. The zero block would not have been initialized to the...
