How to mod a 21 pin Saturn

With a 32-pin (and now the mods seem to support 64-pin cd-blocks again) american version, you can ue the method described on page 1. With a later ones with the Sayno (or whaterever the spelling is) it gets more complex, and doesn't always work ( I think there are multimle versions of the sayno...

    Radiant Silvergun in English

A solder joint on the point B and one on the power connector... The only problem I had was difficulty seating the chip. But with an application of Mr. Huge Wire Snips to the bracket, and a little filling to the chip had it in. And the blue text flashing sound is the only noticeable difference...

    Radiant Silvergun in English

One thing about the video: The blue text that flashes across the screen... Why can't you just capture it? There are times when it's the only sound from the video.

    Odd Saturn problem.

Take a file, and shave a bit off the side off of the connector. The conlacts should be almost at the side of the connnector. I had the same problem seating my mod chip <_< But it works, in a 64-pin, no less  The saturns with the place for the LED are almost all 64-pin, so I could do...

    Radiant Silvergun in English

I read that someone just copied all the files off the disc, then burned them to another disk with the same directories, and it didn't work. Although I could just be remebering wrong

    Radiant Silvergun in English

If you just copy all the files off of the disc, and just re-burn them, it won't work. There's stuff that isn't copied (Yes, other than the security ring), so it requires so saturn dev software. I thnk the voice acting is in the form of waves so as to make the porting from ST-V to Saturn...

    Radiant Silvergun in English

This page is where I got the "parody" story, but they have some of thier facts wrong, so I can't be shure how true some of that is. The Irem shooter they mention is named "Gallop: armed police unit", and the boss kind off looks like the ship from Gallop, so the other thing could be true, but I...

    Radiant Silvergun in English

Some stuff in that translation doesn't match this translation. I don't know any Japanese, So I have no way of telling which one is correct, BUT I think Silver Translations spent longer on their translation. Edit: And about the "Be attitude for gains" dissagreement... Have you seen the intro...

More UK sanyo board modding woes

bin + cue files are ment to be burned via cdrwin. Don't bother upgrading it. niether cdrwin nor nero works for me, so I use Discjugger, and THAT works (I thinks it's a problem with my burner). I'd also recomend using Verbatim media.

More UK sanyo board modding woes

A-B method doesn't work for all Sayano Saturs, but it does work with some of them. The CD won't spin without power to the mod board. I read it the "How to mod a <stuff goes here> without soldering to the cd board" thread that someone soldered the wire to a component on the bottom of the board...

    Odd Saturn problem.

E: repaced the post with something more relavent. The A-B method works on all NTSC model 2 saturns up till the sayano board. Then it gets a little iffy. The A-B sometimed works, but you may half to hunt for a signal. some jp saturns don't work with the A-B mwthod, As for the others, I'm not...

How to mod a 21 pin Saturn

Did a more conclusive test, THe mod works poerfectly. I only had two problems during instalation: I think that the mod was scraping the shield, preventing it from getting to the slot, but this could've been caused by problem 2, so I use a pair of wire snips to cut it. the other problem was...

How to mod a 21 pin Saturn

I've got a 64-pin saturn, MK-<(however many 0's>A saturn, from malaysia. I got a mod from racketboy, because I didn't have a soddering Iron (yet) I decided to tet the mod. I pushed the signal wire through the "B" via, and poked the power wire into the power connection, and started it up. the...

    Official Swap Trick Support Thread

I don't think you stop the motor long enough to kill it. A forcefully- halted motort draws lot of watts, and begens to heat up and that's what COULD cause damage. It'll take awile of holding it still for that to happen, because the moter has very little torque. And, with a saturn, it seams...

    Intresting....

...The same could be said of the PS2. the same system, just with more particle effects, and higher resolution texturs. Game developers made WAY to much use of that perticular effect :slap And the M2 games were probably still in alpha.
