Is it possible to downgrade from 4mb to 1mb the Action replay 4m PLUS

correct, the only thing changing ID is going to do is prevent any 4MB games that do not check for 1MB. Forgot also that you would need to change the addressing even further, since on the 1MB cart the banks are not contiguous.

Is it possible to downgrade from 4mb to 1mb the Action replay 4m PLUS

yes, need to find out how the cart sends the code at 0x24FFFFFF. The official 1MB mirrors after the 1MB mark. Cutting the address lines to the anything 1MB and above will get you mirrored lines.

Is it possible to downgrade from 4mb to 1mb the Action replay 4m PLUS

you would have to change the code it sends to the saturn to stop saying 5C and start saying 5A. You would also have to cut the higher pin address lines so that it mirrors after 1MB. Hardly worth the trouble for the select few games that support it. Would be cheaper (both money and time wise)...

Yuji Naka vs. Mike Wallis - Who's Right?

    1) Yes, NiGHTS was largely written in assembly, but it does use libraries that were C (Sega SBL probably) 2) There are so many different versions of Xtreme, who knows which one is being talked about absolutely lol, some were in C yes. 3) Sonic Jam is leftover work from Sonic World, which was...

SEGA Saturn 28th Anniversary Game Competition - Discussion Thread

I can see the QR2 being most useful built right into Pseudo Kai. Those folks have the hardest time getting their test saves out. It is also practical to be built into other ODE menus as well. Such a brilliant idea, this is why I love this competition so much, so much outside of the box thinking.

    Question about Saturn Bios.

As long as the MX you are using correctly line up, it should be fine. The Tectoy Saturns were just imported in, there is no difference in the board other than the region to US and the broadcast signal being changed to PAL-M. The only thing you may want to also do is replace the oscillator, or...

it will be all fixed once I finish up 2.00. It is taking a while because the MODE 2 games all have unique rules with them.

    A Saturn Programming Challenge

an "actually" wasn't warranted. XL2 acknowledged the acceleration card, he just explained that it was too late in the Saturn's life to become a commercial product, and that VF3 was not the game that would require it.
