    Albert Odyssey map?

I just beat the game today, so I don't need the map anymore. I realized that there is a small map in the pause menu too. When I beat the north tower, I went to fly back to town to save my game, and then I accidentally fly into the central tower and see my airship blowing up! So I went to...

    Albert Odyssey map?

Hi, I'm playing this Albert Odyssey game on saturn. The load times were pretty bad so I put a dummy file in it, but I don't know if that made a difference. Anyway, I've been searching the internet for like an hour for a world map of the game, but I couldn't find one. I think I read that there is...

How to mod a 21 pin Saturn

I tried one from playstationmodchip.com and it didn't work on my 64pin, so I decided that the swap trick would be fine based on how much I play it anyway. No sense paying the full price of another saturn for broken modchips when I could just actually get the other saturn instead if the swap...

    Tristar 64 question

I asked on IRC, and someone wrote this back: "no, the tristar 64 is a hardware emulator, not software it's not like it has little snes/nes emus built into it" That doesn't make much sense to me though, because it is still ultimately converted to N64 code so it can be run on the N64, just like...

    Tristar 64 question

I have a V64 Jr. but I don't know whether it can backup games or just download them. (I used to have a regular Doctor V64 but no more). I don't have the tristar though. I wonder if anyone's ever tried this?

    Tristar 64 question

You know that Tristar 64 thing that is supposed to let you play SNES games on the N64? Or maybe it was called something else, I can't really remember. Could that thing be emulated as an N64 rom which you couold patch SNES roms onto to play them on a Dr. V64 Jr. or something? Or is that not...

    Nester dc 6

You can go to the menu then back to the game too by pressing L + R + Start. But the game will start over. I'm not sure if that's what you meant.

How to mod a 21 pin Saturn

Hey is that the same saturn you already successfully modded the normal way? I had my brother solder the wire to the 64pin chip, and he did it really well, so I wasn't sure about disconnecting it especially because mal or someone said the points A and B still conduct electricity between each...

    Saturn mod chip help

After looking at mal's picture in the "21 pin" thread and not seeing the bent pin, I decided to bend up the pin with my fingernail. Still the same screen with the green cubes though. Maybe the modchip shorted itself out with that pin? Or maybe I have to go back to the other bridge again? Man...

How to mod a 21 pin Saturn

FAKK: Is it just MK80000 or is it MK80000A? Mine says MK80000A so if it is the same I was thinking maybe I should try whatever you did too. I will have to read this whole thread first.

    Saturn mod chip help

Thanks for your work mal. Besides that bent pin, I was also wondering, could my ribbon cable be in backwards or something? I had to kind of force it into the position shown in the playthegames picture because it had two prebends in it. Also, for the wire going to the 5V, was I supposed to solder...

    Saturn mod chip help

Ok I changed the bridge from 0014 to 0019, and still no luck . It's basically just an audio cd player, and I'm about out of ideas now.. In this: "no solder bridge: -boot up animation -two green cubes at the CD player screen -CD rotates -displays "checking disc format" -will then only...

    Saturn mod chip help

I put it completely back together with all the screws every time but I still have those problems described above. It spins the cd but just shows 2 green cubes and thinks it's an audio disc. Where are the 0014 and 0019 bridges located in the saturn? I haven't done anything with them yet.

    Saturn mod chip help

Okay, thanks for the tip. I made some progress. The following now describes my situation: "no solder bridge: -boot up animation -two green cubes at the CD player screen -CD rotates -displays "checking disc format" -will then only play audio tracks of CDRs and originals" So I guess now I...

    Saturn mod chip help

I meant that a pin on the back of the modchip is bent down all the way and touching the board of the modchip. So it shouldn't be like in this picture?: I tried plugging the ribbon both ways into the modchip, but I have had the modchip itself like it is in that picture both times. My ribbon...

    Saturn mod chip help

Also, is the first pin sticking out on the back of the modchip supposed to be bent down all the way and touching the board? I didn't know whether it was intentional or not because some of the other ones were bent too, but not bent down all the way.

    Saturn mod chip help

I see this in mal's post here: "if the ribbon cable isn't properly inserted (either bridge): -no boot up animation -two large red spheres at the CD player screen -no CD rotation -displays 'checking disc format'" That's the only one with a red sphere in it, but he doesn't mention any with a...

    Saturn mod chip help

Okay the backup didn't work either. The CD doesn't even spin at all from the time I turn on the system; does that indicate any specific problem? It shows the white saturn logo screen and then just takes me to the audio CD controls with a faint hissing noise in the background. It just stays stuck...
