no ntsc uses a diffrent colour system to pal

does it go into black and white after the saturn logo or before that finishes as the saturn logo might be able to display in pal or ntsc format but the games are coded to run in nstc mode im not 100% sure why not call the tvs manufacturer or go to their website to check as you dont have the manual

i think its most likely the tv check in its manual if it supports ntsc i did use my american saturn with a euro scart cable a while back and the picture flickers and warped but it was in colour

your tv needs to be ntsc compatible as well as 60hz compatible im not sure if the euro scart cable matters but i run mine through a phono/s-video cable and it works fine how old is your tv

the character poly count could have been equaled on saturn no problem as even third party developers could get enough polys moving around and as only the colision detection polys have to be done for the enviroment there are lots freed up for characters as for fmv the saturn never had a problems...

it has the same extention as the sat version (*.stz) but is a little bit bigger and crashes the program i used for opening the saturns files

Saturn HELP:disc drive doesn't spin.. for a cd drive replacement the easiest thing to do would be to get a broken saturn from somewhere with a working cd drive. (ebay?)

maybe its just not compatible with satconv or it needs to be run in 60hz mode. I had the same sort of problem with lunar for mega cd (i even bought the american ver and ripped it myself)

the best thing to do would be to contact the guy at console passion as i think he has a modded saturn for sale at a good price ive never tried to add a mod chip so i cant help you there

Games & emus worth porting Well a genesis emu might be possible if you could find away to use the sound chip (i think) thats the same series as the genesis cpu to emulate it through hardware. Like the genesis did to emulate the master system.

yeah ive noticed a lot of small changes as i have been playing through the saturn version but the oddest diffrence ive found is the texture aligment eg the floor in parm in the psx version none of the paths match to were they are meant to be its quite simple to fix.

i thought it would be much better to replace the power board as its easy to replace and means i wouldnt need to take an extra item with me when i travel also i would have to buy a step down converter where as i already have a spare uk power board
