English translation patch release: Jung Rhythm (v1.0)

I never realized there was an extra stage and better ending, if you do well enough on the final stage. I got the good ending for the first time, while playing through this in english! Thanks again, this is an excellent translation effort.

    Translating Ys 1

Awesome. I had a couple treasure chests, that when I tried to open them, the game would freeze. I thought it was just my setup (USA Saturn, Satiator). Can’t wait to continue progress, now. Thanks!!!

NeoMania - A Rhythm Game for the Neo-Geo

Very cool! Would this only be for the Neo Geo CD? Or are you designing it to run on a rom system (MVS / AES)?

    (HELP) Translate the game "Phantasm"

Congrats on powering through this until the end! Very impressive. 8 CDs! Holy crap, I didn’t know there was ever a Saturn release with that many disks. If anyone plays this on an ODE, like Satiator, let us know if there are any issues changing between disks.

Ahhh. Never mind. I downloaded the SSP V1.95 from the contest, and now it works. I'll leave my original post, in case anyone else makes this mistake.

    Ninpen Manmaru English Patched?

This is the first I am attempting to use the Sega Saturn Patcher, so I might be doing something wrong. - I am running the SSP V1.9.7872.1316 - I click on the "Select Saturn Game" button and choose the original disk in my CD Drive - After a couple minutes of reading the CD, the information for...

    Best Solution for Playing Translations?

I use the Satiator & it has worked great for fan translations. Yes, it is expensive, but the simple installation and ability to still play original disks makes it worth it, in my opinion.

    Translating Dracula X / SOTN Beta V1.02

This is a great idea, to eventually have a version that is just a bare-bones text-translation of DraculaX. I don’t know how difficult this would be, but maybe after there is a final version completed, this could be re-visited. Either way, this is an awesome project, and much-appreciated.

    Translating Lunar Silver Star Story

I also just finished playing through v1.1.2f on actual hardware, and everything worked great! Aside from those minor visual glitches that you mentioned above, I didn’t see any other issues. Great job on this translation project!

    Translating Lunar Silver Star Story

Thanks for the effort put into this. I played through Lunar in Japanese, many years ago. I checked my disk, and luckily it is V1.05. I will play this on a real Saturn with CDR. I am hoping to pick up an ODE soon, to play all these awesome fan translations!

    Pseudo Saturn Kai official thread

Hey cafe-alpha, I have kind of a crazy question. The answer is probably no, but would it be possible to load the Pseudo Saturn Kai itself over the DataLink? In other words, instead of flashing the cartridge, just load the Pseudo Saturn executable using DataLink. It would obviously have to be...

Yes, this is the method that I used for flashing the Game Shark, and it worked great! The flasher.bin is a very convenient way to flash the Pseudo Saturn.

    Pseudo Saturn Kai official thread

So, about a year ago or so, I had the opportunity to buy a lot of brand new Saturn GameSharks. Buying in a large quantity, I was able to get a good price, and they had the 25-pin communication port. My thinking was that if anyone was having trouble finding a cartridge compatible with DataLink...

    Pseudo Saturn Kai official thread

Hey Cafe, Great job on this! I tried to read through all the posts, to figure out if usb DataLink compatibility with Pseudo Saturn has been tested. I didn't see anything, but I may have missed it. I will test it out soon, and report my findings.

    Bluetooth DataLink

By the way café-alpha, Thanks for making the small binary version of your Cartridge Firmware Flash Utility! I have downloaded this utility to my Saturn using the USB DataLink, and it runs correctly! This is a nice option for those that don't have mod chips to run the utility on CD...
