It's actually a little wierd. Listen to the intro song closely. Listen to the female lyrics and compare them to the original JPN/Euro intro on the MegaCD... the version on Sonic Jam appears to be from a different recording session.

Pretty funny you say that actually, considering how the high resolution, 60fps port of Virtua Fighter 2 is generally held in high regard, and the transparency-packed Sonic R's engine is respected by even the strongest Sonic R critic!

The GameGear had no region protection for anything, though I'm pretty sure that, for example, a PAL TV Tuner would be useless in an NTSC region.

I'm pretty sure the games have to be the same region as your machine... it sounds like they are not. Make an iso of the game, patch the region with SatConv and re-burn.

Yeah I know. I don't know the technical side of it all, I just know using an RF lead or AV cable to display NTSC on a PAL TV generally leads of a black and white or rolling display, which is fixed by picking up an RGB Scart cable.

I'd say 95% of todays TV's in the UK support PAL60... And about 90% support NTSC as long as it's running through a decent connection like RGB SCART. You'd be *very* unlucky to end up with a TV that doesn't support PAL60 or NTSC.

I was under the impression that the Saturn could not output either NTSC-50 or PAL60... the switch would allow straight PAL, or straight NTSC, and that's it.
