    Translating Lunar Silver Star Story

So I took a look at my font tool and it's just a simple crude font -> image file utility. It won't help with the font editing and honestly it looks like I wrote it in like five minutes so I'd rather just leave it alone. There's likely better utilities out there for creating a font. By the way...

Here's the notes I have. Doesn't look like much but it could possibly help. I also have a utility relating to extracting files from the .dat files, decompressing the cmp files, and extracting the font. Though I'm pretty sure you have that all covered.

    Translating Lunar Silver Star Story

It's been a while since I did that hack. Like something like 12 years ago? Anyway, from what I can remember and what I could find of the remaining code and notes I had I'm pretty certain what I changed was the text script itself and not any font. When I worked on the game it was more for...

Here's an additional VWF image from the game from my experiments way back in the day: From what I remember that's the stock font too.

Oh that's right. Forgot about CDmage. I do have a couple utilities I wrote that could possibly be used for it that you may at least want to look at: vcdbuild - Based on Sega's own tool. Build a disc from a script vcdextract - Extracts an already built disc image and creates a script for the...

Hey Ms. Tea, great work you've done :) By the way, how are you rebuilding the disc image for Silver Star Story Complete?

Adding 3D Control Pad support to games that never supported it?.

A lot of that would depend on what SDK the game in question used. SGL based games would probably be the easiest to change. It's mainly about identifying the peripheral and determining what the collected data is and what to do with it. The only peripherals that get a bit tricky is the Stunner...

    Dumping MPEG Card Bios

About the only thing I can tell is that it's not text or image data. Possibly Code? Or settings?

    Dumping MPEG Card Bios

Interesting. I wonder if that data is actually something relevant? Perhaps for authentication by the cd block? Since the data is being filtered through the cd block, it's possible it offsets it there. But without sh1 code it's hard to know for sure.

    Translating Lunar Silver Star Story

Weird. What's the extra data for? Alignment? That's right, I forgot Lunar SSS and SSSC MPEG use their own custom sound driver. Was quite a pain to get working with Yabause. Would make some sense, also you'd likely get less than 512kb in space since the sound driver and music take a small...

    Translating Lunar Silver Star Story

First off, good luck with your project! Not too easy of a game to work with iirc, but should be do-able, at least Lunar SSS anyways. MPEG version will likely require a custom disc building tool if you plan to expand anything. Yeah, you pretty much have to reverse engineer the file format in...
