Anybody see this?

I'm really curious. What exactly is it? Address checker? I would assume checking address of memory. But that thing is huge. Seems like a dev kit would have something that checked memory addresses.

So what does it do? :unsure:
 
The address checker is used to test that a game doesn't access certain forbidden areas of the memory map. If it does, execution is halted and the tester can read out what happened. A Megadrive version was mentioned here recently, and the guy who bought this one also owns a later, much smaller version.
