anyone here use the hammerhead fx gamepad?

I just got a new system with XP Pro, and have this pad hooked up to the usb port since there's no joystick port on here. Anyway, I would like to change the settings so that the POV pad will become the directional pad. Playing mk2 with the analog stick isn't very good. Previously I used WinME and hooked this pad up to the joystick port and I was able to do this, but now I don't know how.

I have this controller and sorry but I have no idea how to get it to use the digital pad. I've been trying to figure it out forever but I dont think there is a way
