Best Blu-ray Player Brand?

I'm looking to buy my first blu-ray player soon. Has anyone had experience with various brands who can give me an idea which one would provide best performance and reliability?

Sorry, I just have a PS3 and a combo drive in my PC (BD reader + DVD writer). The biggest trouble with using the BD combo drive is the crappy VC1 codec MS keeps sending to different TV and movie studios... they generate the worst streams you've ever had the misfortune of dealing with, but no one cares as long as the Windows codec can decode it.

I wind up playing those disks on the PS3 since MS provides the VC1 codec the GameOS uses.
