Final Fantasy Origins v. FF I&II: Dawn of Souls

Final Fantasy Origins v. FF I&II: Dawn of Souls

Well FF Origins retains the high difficulty of the original games, while FF Dawn of Souls make the game (well, ridiculously) easy. The level cap is raised to 99 and you level up insanely quick, and the monsters are for the most part a pushover. Nevertheless, I liked Dawn of Souls better because it was an ideal game for a handheld, while Origins is a bit more "hardcore." I hope this helps.

Go with the GBA one. Since it has been "portablifed", it doens't require as much of your life and sanity as the PSOne/NES versions.

Plus the game's graphics are easier on the eyes on a small LCD than on a big TV.

Final Fantasy Origins has a greater-quality soundtrack and cleaner, slightly more fluent graphics than Dawn of Souls--Dawn of Souls has a few extras that will tend to the natural needs of a habitual rpg-gamer.
