Genesis 3 question

Does anyone know if the powerbase converter works on the genny 3? I was looking at picking one up, but all I have is the genny 3.

I don't have direct experience, but all the sources I've seen say that it doesn't work. Varying reasons are given but the most plausible I've heard is that the bus controller in the Genesis 3 doesn't support the necessary remapping of signals/address space.
