Nero and its dumb cuesheetness

It all seems ok to me, but when I try to load it in nero i get an error like "Cannot open the file track02.mp3." Then once i hit ok I get another one saying "Error while loading the cuesheet file Nukem.cue (line5)."

What's up with this?

it's because there prob is no track02.mp3. There could be a number of reason for this....mis=spelling of the file. It could be in a dif location? just make sure everything lines up and u should be cool.

Ah I didnt get around to trying daemon tools yet, but I did wav>mp3 then changed the cue sheet accordingly and now all I get is that second error. The Line 5 one.

Isn't having a postgap and then a pregap kind of redundant (though thats not the problem here)? What version of Nero are you using? There were certain versions that gave me problems with cuesheets.

Also, when you say you converted from wav>mp3, you mean you had wav files and you were trying to feed nero a cuesheet that listed them all as MP3s? Well, you could have just put together a new cuesheet with Sega Cue Maker and kept them wav, but whatever.

No no I had mp3 files, then i converted them to wav.

The version of nero i'm running is a newer one. It's 6.0.0.9 according to the properties

Oh, well converting them to MP3 shouldn't have helped... but then again, I've heard time and again how crappy Nero 6 is. I use the last 5.5 release. Why they took one step forward and 43.7 steps back is beyond me.

The original problem could've been that the audio tracks were encoded at 48kHz instead of 44.1kHz. I *know* I've downloaded at least one set that had the MP3's like that. No burning prog can convert 48kHz MP3's correctly... you need an extra app that can do a manual conversion. Pain in the ASS, that was...

dude after some help form some other people i burned Panzer dragoon, the thing that i had to do is even tho it says mp3 convert all the mp3's to wav's sure it makes the file size a lot bigger but usually it works better (also change all the mp3's on the cuesheet to wav files) track 1,2,3 etc. sounds odd to me as if it came off of a cd of some sort.

Haha, yeah. Not to mention that even if you leave them all MP3s (assuming they were encoded properly, and didn't upconvert the frequency for no reason), if you have a cue sheet with them set up as MP3s (sega cue maker does this by default, if they're MP3s when you make the cue), it will burn fine. Nero does the decoding (read: conversion to wav) by itself, and it works great. However, this is with Nero 5.5, I assumed Nero 6 would work... but I guess not. Seriously, they had the best burning program, and they fudged up the new version. Handicapped it.

When I can no longer use 5.5 for some reason, I will have to hunt for an alternate program that can burn Nero 5.x and maybe 6.x images. Plus handle cue sheets.
