Region mod

I am looking for a tutorial on a us/jap region switch.

So far I have attempted using these tutorials with no success, all I get is "Game disc unsuitable for this system"

I also found another site http://www.saturn.v21hosting.co.uk

Which has tutorials but also no luck. I can solder very well have checked all my joints and resoldered all connections with differnt wires just to verify the problem was not with my soldering or my switch/wires.

I am using a dpdt switch

However I need help with which wires go where and what to cut. So far I have removed to 2 0 Ohm resistors that were previously acting as jumpers for a US version. If someone would be nice enough to point me to a cohernt tutorial I would really appreciate it.

Last week I finally broke down and ordered a set of Twin sticks and a Jap Virtual On. I am really looking forward to playing with them so any help you could give me will most certainly go to good use.

I do appologize in advance if this is in the wrong section, or sub-forum of the site. I am an active member of Xbox scene among other things so I realize how much of a pain misposted topics can be.

*Edit: The disc I am attemting to use is a Mint copy of Astal Us ver. and it will not work on either side of the switch.

Soldering is not the only skill you can count on when doing modifications, the sites you've just mentioned has the most comperhensible tutorials as far as I know, you can always do a search here in segaxtreme because this topic had been discussed here over and over again but for your sake I hope this picture can help you

Thanks for your input orta. Acctually your picture confused me worse then I was in the first place (at first) Then after doing some more searching I found that I was still getting a connection between my jumpers after removing the 0 ohm resistors. I was able to slice them with an exacto and I was rocking Nights & fighting vipers for several hours. Thank you again.
