Hello All

Curious question. with consideration to today's technology...What would be the suggested monitor of choice for developing for saturn? I'd be creating the games via Windows instead of the official saturn dev kit. My main focus would be utilizing the color palette fully but also having accurate representation of what it would look like on actual hardware. I hope that's not a weird question.

The one with most accurate color reproduction, I would think. How graphics look on a real Saturn depends hugely on how it's hooked up, which can be anything from RGB on a monitor to NTSC on a TV via an RF modulator. Anyone using a Saturn now (esp. anyone who is going to run any newly created software) is probably going to have a decent display setup, so RGB to a monitor, or a capture card or scan converter is more likely than composite or RF.

If you use a decent art package, you can apply filters that simulate different display devices.
