If Capcom were to make a Sega vs. Capcom game, what characters would you most like to see appear in it?

It's too bad Sega didn't buy Sammy back it was considering it. If it had, we'd probably be looking forward to Sega vs. Capcom right now, instead of Capcom vs. Sammy. Oh well.

Actually, I don't think the Capcom Vs. series is so great. I actually preferred SNK's SVC:Chaos more than any of the entries in Capcom's series. However, I do like the idea of multiple Sega characters from multiple series appearing in a fighting game. Before I start rambling further, I was curious who you'd most want to see.

Any of the SOR characters. Blaze and Axel would prob. be the coolest ones, specially Axel. Adam could be cool too but I doubt many people would remember him. The kangaroo guy could prove to be real fun, haha.

After playing Sonic Battle, I see that Sega can give some cool moves to any of the Sonic characters. Pretty much all of them could be included.

I think that some sonic guys, definatley the dude from comix zone, the dude from burning rangers, whoeer it was in nights (both male and female), dude from legond of oasis, dude from radiant silvergun.

Radiant Silvergun isn't really a Sega property.

The kids for Nights probably wouldn't be very cool, but maybe Nights himself.

Do ya think Samba De Amigo would have some neat combo? Marracas of Death!!

haha, Samba would be sweet. Shenmue chars. could be cool too 🙂. Altered Beast would be another good addition. Gunstar Heroes guy? Not to sure on that last one...what u guys think?

Sonic characters would certainly be the first ones on the roster, although it's strange to imagine Sonic fighting Ryu. I'd think Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Eggman would have a strong chance of appearing. And maybe a Chao. (Chao vs. Servbot?)

And Ryo would definitely kick ass in a fighting game. 😀 And he'd look damn good in 2D. Shenmue deserves more love.

Toe Jam and Earl would be cool additions. Perhaps they'd both be controlled as one character, a la the Ice Climbers from SSB:M.

And Vectorman. That guy's awesome. Am I alone in thinking a Vectorman vs. Megaman fight would rule? Actually, an Alex Kidd vs. Megaman fight would also be awesome.

Nei from Phantasy Star II would be a nice addition. Sega's RPGs need some representation, and she's one of the most widely known characters from the series.

I think the characters I'd most like to see included would be some Jet Set Radio characters. That game deserves all the love in the world and more. Beat and Gum would be my picks, although nearly any of them would be freaking awesome.

I can't decide whether or not I'd like to see characters from Virtua Fighter included. Their games defined 3D fighting games so much that it seems wrong to make 2D versions of them. But it seems a shame not to include such well-known fighters from Sega's classic fighting game. Anyway, those are more of my thoughts.

The main guy from Kujaku-Ou 2 / Mystic Defender would be spiffy, but IIRC that was licensed from an anime or something so it might not count as a Sega character (though Sega did develop the game AFAIK).

Someone out of the Dynamite Deka series, though that might be a little redundant if the E-SWAT guy is in there too.

Space Harrier? Seems like it would be hard to make a believable brawler out of him though...

And since Sega seems to be on decent enough terms with the guy to do this, I vote for Michael Jackson / Moonwalker as a hidden character.

Heh. I was just about to say Joe Musashi.. imagine a Shinobi vs. Strider match, now that would rock. Maybe one of the characters from HoTD or Zombie Revenge would be cool as well. Also, the chick from Outrun would kick ass as a secret character...

Ryo would be cool as well.. but the ultimate character would have to be Segata Sanshiro!
