segacdmodel2 no work

on the last week i hook up my sega cd again to play some games, but i didnt find the ac adapter for the sega cd so i.........well i plug in a nes ac adpater on my segacd2 and ............well no more sega cd

then i check what happened and the fuse was broken, but thats not the only problem, because another piece was burned its a little one seems like a diodo

so i need help on this one because i need the part number

The diode burned (D301)?

Outch, that mean that the polarity was inverted and that the adaptator you pluged delivered loads of intensity.

I hope for you that the diode directly burned and not after a short time.

I'll look tonight for the ref.

so the diode part number its d301? its the one beside the fuse

so do you think by replacing the diode the sega cd work again?

yeah the nes ac adapter i think has the polarity inverted so thats the cause

i check every component and it seems that the only part that was affected was the fuse and this diode

...know that i think about it first just was the fuse, and then when i realize that i just made a bridge between the two sides of the fuse to do continuity again, and then when i reconect the sega cd with a ac adapter ( the sega cd one) the thing just burned and it was the diode

what you think?

so the diode part number its d301? its the one beside the fuse

Yes. In my EU segacd2 its this number.

Diode is put to block inverted polarity.

Normaly it just block, not burn ^^.

You may replace it (by a same looking model) and try.
