Should I buy a GC?

Im in the uk so the gc was released yesterday and Ive been playing Rogue Leader on a US gc in solid gold games centre for months now and would like it here so I can play it properly with my own save game but I already have an xbox, dc and saturn sitting here and I think maybe another console would be too much.

I aint seeling the saturn as I only just got it again after having sold it 3 years ago I went and picked up one 2 weeks ago and got it modded so I could play pds, radiant silvergun and guardian heroes again, I guess I may be willing to sell my dc, is it really worth getting Ill be £214.99 for the gc, rogue leader, waverace an extra pad and a memory card is that a good deal?

Well, I got all that for £209 in my local Choices, so shop around and I would get one.... Monkey Ball is the greatest multi-player game of all time... even if you only have one pad! (Although it's better with 4 )

Finally someone replyed but its too late...... cause I went and bought one this morning and I got the gc, official scart lead, memory card and official extra joypad (i mention official cause 3rd party pads always seem to be cack) along with rogue leader and waverace, Im gonna buy super monkey ball when i next go into town which will either be tomorrow or friday

Oh I got it down to 209.99 for the lot and the guy didnt remove all the security tags so I somehow didnt set it off going out the shop yet I managed to set off hmv and game's security alarms and got taken aside so they could make sure I hadnt stolen anything even though both times they could clearly see I had only just walked into their shop buggers.

Hehe... well, 3rd party SCART leads ARE cack at the moment.... they don't even display true RGB since they are just SNES/N64 leads and the Gamecube RGB has a different pin-out...

Damnit so that mad catz scart cable im using is pointless then, doh soz I notice i said i got official scart but thats the only thing that aint as it was part of the deal cause the official one was about 10quid dearer?

Also dont laugh if im sounding dumb here but in my gamecube box was a scart plug with the 3 sockets for red, white and yellow wires and of course the cables to hook into it, so what kind of cable is this then if the gc doesnt come bundled with a scart lead cause the way people were talking I thought it came with a dreamcast style rf lead?

That's like the PS2 bundled one, a jack for video and two audios. It's not pure scart but I think it's OK.

Nevermind I understand now the cable included is an av cable which only uses a few pins on the scart plug I noticed whereas proper scart is 21pins yeah?

Anyway the bundled av lead provides better quality than that damn madcatz scart so I binned it and Ill pick up an official rgb cable and super monkey ball tomorrow.

Using the mad catz rgb cable the colourwas crap and the brightness was screwed, so reckon if I fish it out the bin there'll be someway to get my 10quid back?

If you have an N64 or a SNES, you can use it for that for full RGB quality...

If not, you MIGHT get yur money back.... unlawful description on the cable.... give it a shot I guess

Well I picked up super monkey ball (great game) and an official rgb scart lead this morning works great
