why is it so complicated to burn saturn games?

why is it so complicated to burn saturn games??????????

i really want to play samurai shodown, the files i have are:

-samurai shodown 3.cue

-samurai showdown 3 TOC.txt

-track1.iso

-track2 - track37.ogg

i've read through here but there's no mention of ogg. also, i have cdmage but what the heck do i do with it? there is no help file...

is there a simple, simple program like bootdreams for dreamcast where i just click on the file and it does all the work?

i tried burning these files 'as-is' with alcohol120, and it didnt do anything. it said it was burning, in fact it went to 2100% (!) before i closed the program only to find the cd was still empty (at least it didnt make a coaster, whew!).

i tried discjuggler, but -even though CUE is one of the programs recognized formats- it wouldnt open the cue.

oh god, what do i do?

i'm still working on getting the system to even play backups (i'll give a big thank-you in that thread once its successful!), but i'd really like to have at least a few backups ready to go, especially if there's something wrong with the one i've been trying to use.

PS i also have guardian heroes, which is the same set of files as SS3, except the audio is mp3, and final fight revenge, which is just ISO and mp3.

PS please recommend anything BUT nero. i still have nightmares about that program. *chills*

Right, first, go ahead and convert that ogg file to wav. Then copy and paste the cue file contents here (it's just a text file).

Once you do those two things, we can better assist you.

Also, someone correct me if I'm wrong, but Samurai Shodown 3 requires the RAM cart to play on the Saturn... just a heads up. I didn't know that until after I purchased the game.

O SHI-

you're right about SS3, so thats deleted.

i'll try guardian heroes. mp3s are converting to wav..

here's the cue sheet:

so... once they're converted to wav, its all good to burn? i just delete the mp3s since they're wavs now, and it should load up just fine?

if so, i'll be happy.

thanks very much for the help, fellas!

That cue sheet looks good. Just make sure that all the wavs and mp3s are in the same folder, and they're all the right case (upper case, lower case, same as cue sheet).

If I remember correctly, you have to choose burn disc image, load the cue sheet, and burn Disc At Once (DAO) - I think Sega CD games are TAO.

Guardian Heroes is an outstanding game, good luck.
