I found a mod chip for a 20 pin Saturn

Yup, I tested the wire first with a multimeter then found the labelling on the other side of the power supply board. Its pretty easy to test though if the labelling isnt printed on your board, Just be careful not to touch the board with your hands while you have the power on...

    Name of the saturn chip?

From your picture it looks identical to mine. Take the power supply away from the lid (two screws by power lead socket and one on top of board iirc) then look on the board, it should have the wires labeled on the other side. :)

If you have a model 1, check my guide for 5v. In general red should be 5v ;) About the hacking, in order to use a 21 pin mod on a 20 pin box, you need to rewire it and remove a section. The mod above seems to be an alternative solution, one id like to hear proof of working before i buy ;)

    Model 1 region switch mod

    Name of the saturn chip?

have you tried the dual slot chip yet? I've been told they dont work and as such cancelled my order for one an intended to hack a 21 pin chip. If this works it would be a whole world simpler.

PAL Sega Saturn Model 1 with VA0 MB

Dont know how useful this is, but when i tried finding this info for my board I had no luck and decided to just go for it. The IC14 chip is labelled as such, just in a different location. You'll find it at the back near the cartridge port. Pin 79 faces the back of the unit. The 5 volt and...
