Thanks for the detailed answer! So if I understand correctly, while japanese movies are easy to keep, for in game dialogs keeping the japanese audio with English text is a lot more tricky? The audio driver is what keeps the text in sync with the audio right? And I guess there is no way to reuse...

Probably a silly question, but how much work would it be to have a basic working subtitled SSSC, with original non edited videos? (videos with japanese voices and no subs) I know it's a weird request, but while I good at listening japanese, I'm not so good at reading, so a simple sub version...

Ah sorry, my mistake, I was looking only at the SSSC version. And I guess it's a lot more complicated to reinject only the English text (I don't mind about cinematic subs) in the SSSC version right?

Hey guys, I just wanted to know if there was any news about the subtitled version of the SSSC game? I'd honestly be very happy even with only text and dialogs in english and Japanese cutscenes, as I understand spoken japanese but my reading is... well let's say I lack of practice haha

Me too! They made an awesome job with those patches, and the English dub is a good one. But for a non native English speaker like me, I prefer the Japanese voice far more. So I can't wait to test out the sub versions, especially the mpeg one! Is there a donation system to support the devs?

Oh my bad, I didn't know there were 2 versions! Wow those voices are indeed miles better than Working Designs ones, that's great :D I can't say I recognize those voices tho, since I'm not a native English speaker and I watched Code Geass and Evangelion in Japanese.

This is an awesome release, but is there a way to keep the Japanese voices and get only subs? I know it's a matter of taste, but I find the English voices atrocious, even for that time period :biglaugh: Edit: Ah never mind, I just saw a subs version was on the todo list. Well I guess I will...
