For all you Metal Gear fans the release date for Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes is now confirmed at March 11, 04.

twin snakes I believe is a new game

but I think there is a remake of the first MGS on the way -- which I believe has enhanced graphics and such

Yes, it is a totally new game. I have to admit I have never played any of them.

I know, I know, I'm missing out on this awesome series.

If anyone's got a link suggesting that it's a totally new game, I'd sure like to see it. Everything I've seen (including Silicon Knights interviews) say its a remake of MGS, with updated graphics and enhanced gameplay (ie you can put bodies in lockers a la MGS2).

yeah, i heard it was basically a remake with improved graphics, maybe some slightly tweaked levels, and all the gameplay elements of MGS2 (hanging over ledges, stuffing people in lockers, etc.) Its MGS 3 snake eater that is a new game.

I mean, look at the caliber that is being used to remake this game.
Silicon Knight, Nintendo, Ryuhei Kitamura and Hideo Kojima!!!!!!
This game is gonna kick ass, period.
