It was a choice between Scotty and O'Brien for me. O'Brien has a good amount of characterization, but less likeability than Scotty. So, Scotty it is.

Same. I liked TNG better than the original, as a series, but Scotty is just Scotty.

How can you not like the guy's character? He's like a freakin cyborg (kind of) and I bet he could shoot lazers out of his eyes (maybe) if he tried really hard. Well, back to the stone from which I crawled out from under...

He's dumb. His only friend on the show is an android and every episode he says "coolant leak."

I didn't mind him, but he wasn't as memorable. He comes after Scotty and Miles.
