all right, dudes. I finally laid my hands on an original and made sure my Saturn does work, but with the mod chip on it will not boot even originals, just plays CD tracks. Is something wrong with the chip?? Anyway, will try swap trick and see if the CD's are correctly burnt. :yum

I would greatly appreciate it if somebody told me where to find a MOD chip to work with 64-pin chipped saturns, since Jandaman's seem not to work at all. What about Xinga's (www.xinga.com)?.

Now this is something: I found out that my MOD chip makes the console behave exactly the same way no matter the +5V cable is connected to power or not. Can this mean the mod chip is dead? :omg:

I tried soldering (well, the word 'attach' would be more suitable) onto the 8th pin of the 64pin chip on the cd board, and it's the same (I double-checked that, as mal found out, than pin is linked to the A solder point on the mod chip board). I'll try a bit of further 'persuasion'...
