Hacked a 21pin mod to 20 pin saturn

EMW10447-006E Big V ENR-007D Here are some pictures: http://www.54.org/condev/Saturn20to21pinMod/ BTW, on the modcard, that one red wire you see is insulated and is going through the hole where the solder was. I used #30 wire wrap for all wires.

Hacked a 21pin mod to 20 pin saturn

Just did this mod to a modcard I had lying around. Works Great!!! I followed seal1's diagram. I will try and take a picture and post it. BTW, I didn't have to modify any part of my Saturn (model 1) to get it to fit.

How to mod a 21 pin Saturn

Well, I was able to boot the 32-pin Saturn using the 64-pin Saturns 8.4mhz clock signal, which pretty much rules out the problem being the clock signal. I think its the way the mod works, how its programmed. Its too bad we don't have the code to program PAL and small microcontroller....

How to mod a 21 pin Saturn

I hooked up my scope to both a 32 pin Saturn and 64 pin Saturn to see what goings on with the clock signal. The 32 pin Saturn had a clock of ~8.45mhz and it was 0-5V peak to peak (the bottom of the peaks was 0V and the top was 5V). The 64-pin Saturn had an ~8.45mhz clock also, but it had a DC...

    jandaman.com mod thread by jandaman

Jandaman: I just sold that mod to a friend who has a 32pin saturn, worked flawlessly. No need to send this one back. I'm still interested in a working mod for a 64pin Saturn dated June 1996, MK-80000A. Thanks

    jandaman.com mod thread by jandaman

Well, I'm convinced its not a connection problem. I double checked all points twice from the mod to the saturn board with a volt meter. All 21 pins are making contact. Jandaman, Since I bought this mod from you, I'll trade you this mod for one that works in a 64pin Saturn. See if you can...

MOD from Jandaman is not working on 64pin

Swap trick works fine, when I burn at 40x, so I assume that the Modchip should work as well. Here are some details on my Saturn (64 pin): Model #: MK-80000A Manufactured June, 1996 IV I was wonder about you people who have 64 pin Saturns that work or don't work with a modchip, if you could...

MOD from Jandaman is not working on 64pin

I just got my mod from Jandaman as well, and I can't seem to get it to work in my 64 pin Saturn either. I tried both A-B method, and soldering point B to the 8th leg of the 64 pin IC. No go either way, it just goes to the CD player screen. I guess its back to the old swap trick... ARGH!
