albert odyssey - legend of eldean - xhul hack - version 2

A working CD image of version 1.100, the latest USA release, is required.
An already hacked image can be used as well, assuming it's compatible.
Additionally, the Sega Saturn Patcher software must be used.
Saves created using the original 1.100 are fully compatible with this hack, at least for now.

The following changes are cumulative, since the original 1.100:

BUG FIXES

At the item selection screen during battle, [>] can no longer cause cursor position corruption.
It now triggers down-scrolling only if the cursor is on the bottom right item, as expected.

At the "Arms&Armor" screen, the last character in the "# POSSESSED XX" string no longer fails to be erased if the cursor goes to "REMOVE".

GENERAL

Traveling|exploration is significantly less interrupted by random encounters.
Basically, the counter used in the probability calculation is now incremented every 3 player steps instead of 1, in all areas.

Random encounters are more challenging, and more rewarding.
Final damage dealt to AI characters has been reduced by 25% (up-rounded) (oneshot damage unaffected).
Final damage dealt to player characters has been increased by 25% (down-rounded, 65535 cap) (poison damage unaffected).
XP and gold gains have been increased by 50% (down-rounded, 65535 cap).

Scripted encounters last shorter.
Final damage dealt to AI characters has been increased by 25% (down-rounded, 65535 cap).

MP consumption is no longer skipped when Gryzz uses a skill.
More of a preparation change, completely transparent for now.

UNLOCKING

Access to the skill listing is no longer denied if the character is Amon or Gryzz, or if the character hasn't learnt any skill yet.
Eagle Dance direct-casting remains, during battle (for the sake of convenience).
Eagle Dance is now considered learnt like any other skill, otherwise it wouldn't show in the listing, outside of battle.
All free-casting skills now have an internal mana cost of 0, otherwise it would show as -1 in the listing, outside of battle.

CONSISTENCY

At the "Arms&Armor" and "Status" screen, "NONE" is no longer shown if a weapon slot is empty.
Weapon and non-weapon slots now behave identically in that regard.

AUDIO

The anti-climatic background music in the Fargasta area has been changed.
Now the awesome MAP028.SNF is played, instead of MAP018.SNF.
