whoa that is a great idea! i for one, dont personally think that a disc still spinning after its not powered will not damage it or wear it out. i do it all the time. however i think forcing the rotation to stop when its being powered does wear it out.. maybe you should make a picture tutorial...

you said it didnt work when you put the arp4 on the catridge right? now..... did you try playing the console before opening it up and removing the modchip? it seems that you just tried it with a arp (which didnt work) and opened it up and unplugged the mod chip and brought back everything...

just to make sure im reading this right...... did you burn the .iso file into the cdr? (like...... just by it self when you put it in your computer cdrom) and not like a bunch of tracks and folders)? what files did you get with it? was there mp3? cue sheet?
