Need help with the region mod

You don`t need a special circuit or resistor to switch the jumpers, but if you want one switch to change the region (instead of three switches, one for every jumper) you need a small circuit with a hex inverter. You can solder a switch to every jumper and that`s it. I can`t open the picture...

    50/60Hz modding

Cut the pin 79 of the VDP1 chip with a cutter from the mainboard.(mainboard top). Then pull it a little bit up with a small needle and solder a little wire to this pin. Fix the wire with tape on the VDP1 chip and solder it to a switch, so that you can switch the wire to pin 79 between ground...

    Region Switch

For the Region Mod you have to cut some jumper connections. I didn`t know exactly which ones, but I cut all jumpers from the "System Manager and Peripheral Controler Chip"! :hehehe:

    Region Switch

Got it to work, too. :P But I cut the legs of the chips from the saturn mainboard and soldered the wires for the switches directly on the legs of the chips - instead of cut the jumpers and solder the wires on the mainboard. This was easier for me because I didn`t have to trace the "lines" on...

Confirm that! :) I took the red wire from powersupply, too. Now the CD spins all the time, and the saturn goes to the media player screen as before, but now the CD doesn`t stop. The screen changes into black as a normal starting game, but then nothing happens. Which pin could have no...

Hacked a 21pin mod to 20 pin saturn

I have plugged it into the other end so that its standing up. The frontside of the mod is facing away from the cd-rom. I tried every position and tested all my soldering. Nothing than green cubes... I think there are two possibilitys. Maybe I made some mistakes and fried the chip or I did...

Hacked a 21pin mod to 20 pin saturn

Thanks for your reply! Mmh, I'm pretty sure that it is soldered correctly to the 5V source. It`s the red wire from the power supply. And it`s connected to the left solder pad in the left upper corner of the backside of the chip. Any other ideas?

Hacked a 21pin mod to 20 pin saturn

I tried it on a model 1 saturn and it didn`t work. The audio player appears and I can see green cubes on both sides of the screen. It`s the same with copies and original games. Always green cubes. *Aaargh!* What pin could be wrong? I used the picture from seal1 and my saturn looks...
