Microprocessor company Intel has developed a surfboard that is designed to let a person surf the Web while they surf the waves. The board will be demonstrated at the Intel GoldCoast Oceanfest in North Devon this week. Housed inside the board is a laptop computer, a solar panel, a video camera and a wireless Ethernet connection. The laptop is connected to the Internet via a wireless hotspot located on the beach. According to Intel, the laptop has been positioned carefully so that the balance of the surfboard is not upset. Of course reading your e-mail while surfing may be a bit too distraction.
