Burning an EXE to a cd

My friend isn't great with computers so he looks to me (for reasons unknown) for certain computer problems. He just got worms world party off of IRC I guess and it's in the form of an executable. He wants to play multiplayer with me (I purchased the game) but you need the cd to play multiplayer. He can get it to work fine single player without the CD but it's required that you have the cd in the drive in order to play multiplayer. And since I can't help him i'm hoping you guys can. My question is if he burns the exe to a cd would he be able to play that way or if not can he convert it to an ISO or something. Basically what if any ways can he make this work and it's not a matter of having a no cd crack you gotta have the data read from the cd or something.

are you sure it won't work? Usually I just get the normal legit exe file and run that and then go back to windows when Im in the game and rename the no cd hacked.exe to the legit.exe running.
