Dreamcast to see re-release in Japan?

A news source reported that Sega will re-release the SEGA Dreamcast. Customers can visit the segadirect web site to pre-order it starting on 4th, Feb. The re-release date will be on 24th, Feb. The retail price will be 13,482yen.

I saw that earlier today, but after seeing the price I passed it over as not bloody likely. If it was cheaper it'd be a great idea..... but thats a tad steep. Perhaps some good extras will come with it?

Well the price does look pretty steep at face value.. But if SEGA has any brains that price will include a good pack-in deal.

I wish they decided to do another production run of the broadband adapter instead of the Dreamcast. I could do more with that.

thing is they could have just "found"ome remaining stock somewhere. it doesnt actually say theyre manufacturing the systems, just selling them.

It is prolly just old stock as Dyne says. Stock that would have been scrapped at some point, so they may aswell try selling it. Especially with Psyvariar 2 coming out, which is a very good game 😀

What SEGA should do is release a new pad to match the re-release, otherwise who would buy it? You can get a DC in 2nd hand for much less unless you´re one of those "gotta have´em all" collectors.

There's a new phrase on me :lol: . It was a small miracle we got Psyvariar over here.. And it didn't even have horrific boxart like a lot of the budget PS2 stuff.

I like it a lot, but I've never devoted the time it deserves.. Only managed to 1-credit one of the easier paths.
