I just picked up an SMS complete with working powersupply and RF adapter, pad, and light gun for 7$ at the thrift store.
Unfortunately, the unit itself doesn't work. I opened it up hoping it was just a fuse I could fix, but I can't find any fuse.
I looked on the web, and the only page I found just had you check all the links up until the 7805. But I have power getting all the way to the "I" pin of the 7805 (and also to one side of two caps). But there doesn't seem to be power anywhere else.

Ok, so I answered my own question. The "O" pin on the 7805 power regulator reads 0, which it should read 5v. So it appears I just need to replace that. Hopefully they have them at radio shack.
