Is Nightwarriors: Darkstalkers revenge Saturn Vampire Hunter (Darkstalkers 2)?

Wikipedia says that the Saturn Nightwarriors is Vampire Hunter (#2), but racketboy's website says that it's Darkstalkers (#1). So I was just wondering which is right? I already have Darkstalkers 1 & 3 (PSX), so I was hoping that Nightwarriors Saturn would complete the trilogy. (and of course add Chronicles on DC eventually).

As far as I know, the Japanese/English title correlation is:

Vampire / Darkstalkers

Vampire Hunter / Night Warriors

Vampire Savior / Darkstalkers 3

In the arcade versions, there also exist "Vampire Hunter 2" and "Vampire Savior 2", which are both something akin to "remixes" of their respective games, but both using Vampire Savior as a base. I don't think these ever made it to consoles.

ExCyber is right.

On the saturn, you can also check the subtitle:

Vampire Hunter ~Darkstalkers' Revenge~ (JPN)

=

Night Warriors - Darkstalkers' Revenge (EUR, USA, BRA)

So it's #2.

Then you have Vampire Savior (JPN), aka #3.

Vampire Savior/Hunter 2 had gameplay tweaks mostly (the only one I remember offhand is that Bullettas autocombo super, hcf+KK I think, comes out slower). Maybe also new alternate colors for the characters, and a different ending (or endings were just accessed differently, I could never get the "normal" character ending, only the one where Bulletta poses).

The Dreamcast version had those as selectable game rules, both Hunter 2 and Savior 2. It also included all other Darkstalkers game in one pack by the way.

Later re-re-rereleases of that DC pack probably have retained these options.

The Saturn version of Vampira Savior doesnt have any of the Savior 2 rules, minus Donovan, Pyron and Phobos being selectable by default (they werent in Savior 1 arcade originally, Savior 2 added them and switched out 3 other characters). I haven't played the psx version of Saviour a.k.a. Darkstalkers 3, it may have included more rulesets including savior/hunter 2.
