CAMBRIDGE, Massachusetts (AP) -- All companies set goals, but newly formed 4Frontiers Corp. is eyeing some expansive horizons. The company's mission: to open a small human settlement on Mars within 20 years or so.

Sounds like Doom's UAC (Union Aerospace Corporation)

They’ll start making inter-dimensional gateways on Mars and then next thing you know is spawns of hell coming out & the poor space marines turning into zombies.

I'm sure all those years of playing Doom and other FPS' that "teach us how to kill" will help us prepare for the alien threat. 😛
