modded saturn acting funny...

I just recently modded a 21 pin saturn, and everything is working great accept one little thing...

The cd rom wont stop spinning!? I can open the cd tray and everything. I checked the open button on the tray to see if that was the problem, but everything looks fine to me. When the tray is opened, it just barely spins, its not very fast. Ive checked all solder points and all of that other crap, everything is fine. It didnt do this before the modchip either. I guess its not really a hender or anything(its all working great!!!), but will it mess up my saturn? Just wondering if anyone has ever had any problem like this before?

If you boot to the CD Player screen and then open the lid do you get a message on the screen saying CD Tray Open, or something to that effect?

As for messing up the saturn, I dont think it would cause much of a problem other than possibly slightly shortening the lifespan of the CD-motor. I say this only because most of the time while you are playing games the CD is probably spinning anyways. I could be wrong about this though and I myself have never heard of this happening.

Yeah it says the cd door is open. Everything is perfectly normal other than the little spinning ordeal. I guess there is nothing that I can really do about that. It doesnt really bother me, Im just conserned with the cd motor(like you said). Guess thats a new one on everybody...
