Need some advice with MVS cabinet I may pick up...

I have the chance to purchase a Neo Geo 1 slot MVS cabinet for $50(No Typo) + 5 year warranty locally.

Does not come with any games though.

I am looking for Baseball Stars and KOF 96. Where is the best place to purchase them near the East Coast?

If you want to find local arcade distributors, look in your local (or closest large metro area) yellow pages for a category like "Amusement Machines" or "Amusement Devices". Arcade distributors are usually listed there, although you may have trouble finding old stuff like that... could just be sitting in a warehouse somewhere and nobody even knows they have it since old MVS games are practically worthless to operators.

I would try Yaton on ebay. I have always had great experiences with him and his prices are very very good

Can I use japanese carts in the arcade unit or do I have to buy US ones?

You can use whatever region you want. Japanese carts will even play in English by default.
