New 2D Mario for DS

The Magic Box reports that Nintendo has announced a new Mario game for DS. The twist? It's the first new 2D Mario game in quite a while...

Can't wait to see it hopefully it will be as good as SMW or Yoshi's Island.

ugh, why do they have 3d characters? i think it would look a lot better if they just did some good sprites.

Well, they did the 3d with 2d characters, so why not do the opposite?... I guess i'm gonna have to submit and buy a DS when this game comes out... looks pretty darn fun.

Well, hopefully one day, DS emulation will be good cause that sad handheld is not worth the money. As for mario games, they all end up being good, though old-school is a nice twist.

I liked how Intelligent Systems handled Paper Mario.
That was a nice refreshing artistic style.
