It should be and in certain areas it certainly is (32X CD support, CD+G support, better YM-2612 emulation). Whether overall compatability will be higher has yet to be seen.

Hmm, I'd better dig out a 32X CD game and test it out.

Edit: Well Corpse Killer 32X works pretty good. The FMV audio is a bot more tinny sounding than I remember, but it works.

The emulation of Ym 2612 is really great.

Test the musics of these games in Gens and in Kega Fusion:

Flashback, Mickey´s Ultimate Challenge, Shaq Fu and Young Indiana Jones Instruments of Chaos.

In Gens you can hear a horrible beeping and in Kega Fusion no.

CD+G is heavily used for karaoke. It never caught on as a general-purpose technology, but it eventually found its niche.

tried it out -- seems nice, but can't test out stuff like the 32X CD stuff

but does anyone know how to get it to load a game via a frontend like 1UP?

fusion.exe "c:\roms\sega\sonic.bin" -gen -fullscreen

for Example. command line loading is now supported.

what makes this emu really great for me, is that it can also play NBA JAM T.E. 32X 😀

I love that one, I've played all other NBA JAM T.E. versions (SNES, Genesis, PSX, Saturn) but the 32X version is the best!
